Schedule of Services

Description of Services

The Urban Forestry Administration's (UFA's) primary mission is to plant and maintain the city's street trees. Street trees are those located between the curb and sidewalk. UFA also clears fallen trees and limbs from roadways and sidewalks, and moves or removes fallen trees or limbs that impede vehicle passage through alleys. UFA does not conduct work on private property trees, nor does it maintain or remove trees from alleys; these are private property issues that must be addressed by the affected property owner.

How to Request a Service

To request a tree related service from the Urban Forestry Administration (UFA), contact the Mayor's Citywide Call Center at 311. Identify the specific location of the tree and the service needed.

How Your Request Will Be Processed

Routine requests are inspected by a certified arborist to determine what service needs to be done. If the arborist finds that the request meets our service guidelines (see Planting, Pruning and Removal guidelines), a service will be scheduled. Even if the inspector finds that no work is required, a point-of-service contact form will be left with the requestor if the address was noted on the service request.
